Notice on the processing of personal data (“Notice”)

By submitting your details you consent for Thenamaris, in its capacity as data controller, to collect and process your personal data for recruitment purposes under the terms and conditions set out in this Notice.

Thenamaris is committed to protecting privacy by maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the personal data applicants submit when seeking a job with our company. This Notice describes how we treat personal data applicants provide to us during the recruiting and hiring process for the purposes of screening, decision-making for hiring, internal reporting and statistical analysis.

Personal data, including any special categories of personal data, submitted through this portal and online application form is processed in accordance with Greek Law 2472/1997 “on the Protection of Individuals with regards to the Processing of Personal Data” and the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of the European Commission.

By submitting the application form and their Curriculum Vitae, applicants explicitly declare they are in agreement with and consent to the processing of their personal data for the sole purpose of the evaluation of their qualifications and skills regarding open positions and any other job vacancy within the company for which they may be deemed suitable. The data are processed by the Human Resources department, the Manager of the relevant department with a job vacancy and other internal stakeholders and/or external consultants and/or advisors of Thenamaris who may be authorized by the company to perform this task (if applicable).

The consent is provided for a period of two (2) years from the last calendar day of the year that the last action on applicant’s profile took place. After the two (2) year period all personal data will be anonymized and the company will no longer have access to them.

Applicants have the right and obligation to access and update and/or supplement data they have submitted. Each time applicants modify their personal data their consent is considered as renewed and the two (2) year period of consent will commence from the date of the most recent data modification.

Applicants have the right to withdraw their consent at any point in time or by sending an e-mail to the company’s Data Protection Officer at the following e-mail address: or to the Thenamaris Human Resources department at Following such a request for the withdrawal of consent, all of the applicant’s personal data will be deleted. The withdrawal of such consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing the data based on consent given before such withdrawal (Articles 7 (3) of the GDPR).

Thenamaris maintains the right to modify, update or amend the terms of this Notice at any time by placing the updated Notice on this website.
